Italian pianist Fulvio Nicolosi (b. 2003) graduated with highest honours from the Conservatorio “Vincenzo Bellini” in Catania in 2022, completing his Bachelor’s Degree with distinction and special mention for “his outstanding artistic and interpretative maturity, clarity in the exploration of sound and colour, and remarkable technical command.”

He has taken part in masterclasses with internationally renowned pianists including Benedetto Lupo, Beatrice Rana, Pietro De Maria, Jeffrey Swann, Roberto Cappello and Bruno Canino. Nicolosi has appeared in important concert seasons throughout Italy as both soloist and chamber musician. Since 2023 he has collaborated regularly with Quartetto Katàne and performs in Duo Nicolosi with his brother, cellist Giulio Nicolosi.

The duo inspired Schizo-Valse by Domenico Famà, published in 2022 by Da Vinci Edition. At the age of twenty-three, he has won more than twenty prizes at national and international piano competitions. In 2023 he was awarded Third Prize at Premio Venezia at Teatro La Fenice, receiving warm acclaim from both jury and audience. His artistry has also attracted critical attention. Writing in Suonare News, musicologist and pianist Luca Ciammarughi observed that “Fulvio Nicolosi left a distinctive impression through his performance of the rare Trenet/Weissenberg chansons, interpreted with virtuosity and captivating sprezzatura.”

In a broadcast for Radio Classica, Ciammarughi further described him as “a talent whose artistic resources promise remarkable possibilities,” during which one of Nicolosi’s recordings was featured. In July 2023 he made his orchestral debut performing Mozart’s Piano Concerto K466 with Camerata Strumentale Siciliana under the direction of Manuel Tèvar. In May 2025 he performed Mozart’s Piano Concerto K488, sharing the stage with Sérgio Pires, principal clarinet of the London Symphony Orchestra. In May 2026 he will make his Spanish debut in León for Fundación Eutherpe.

In 2024 he was admitted to the advanced courses of Accademia Musicale Chigiana, studying with Lilya Zilberstein and receiving a scholarship awarded to outstanding young musicians. In December of the same year, under the guidance of Massimo Spada, he completed his Master’s Degree in Concert Piano at Conservatorio “Francesco Morlacchi” in Perugia, graduating with highest honours, distinction and special mention.

In 2025 he was selected for courses led by Norma Fisher at Royal Academy of Music, subsequently performing in London at Steinway Hall and David Josefowitz Recital Hall. In the same year he was selected as a Keyboard Trust Artist by The Keyboard Charitable Trust in London, joining the foundation’s recital circuit dedicated to some of the most promising young keyboard talents. He later entered the Klaipėda Piano Masters under Gintaras Januševičius, performing in major Lithuanian cities and receiving a scholarship to attend the invitation-only International Piano Academy Feuerwerk in Einbeck. This engagement will mark his German debut in March 2026.

He currently continues his artistic development at International Piano Academy Lake Como, the prestigious institution founded by William Grant Naboré, with Martha Argerich as Honorary President, widely regarded as one of the world’s leading centres for advanced pianistic training.
